① Once while this card is face-up on the field, if an opponent’s monster declares an attack: You can target that attacking monster; negate the attack. ② If this card destroys a Defense Position monster by battle: You can target 1 level 4 or lower “X-Saber” monster in your GY; Special Summon that target.

Card Rulings

  • The ② effect will trigger even if the destroyed monster was not sent to the GY.

  • Cards stating “If this card destroys a monster by battle:”, without “and sends it to the GY”, will trigger even if they are destroyed by an effect after Damage Calculation. (For example, this card’s ② effect will activate even if it is destroyed attacking a set Ryko).

Card Text

① Once, while this card is face-up on the field; you can negate the attack of 1 of your opponent’s monsters. ② If this card destroys a Defense Position monster your opponent controls by battle, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “X-Saber” monster from your Graveyard.

Card Rulings

  • This ① optional Trigger Effect activates & resolves on the field.

    • This effect activates in Start of the Battle Step - Attack Declaration (like “Mirror Force”).

    • ‘Once, while this card is face-up on the field’ is a Condition. It cannot be negated.

    • If this card is flipped face-down / leaves the field, this effect can be used again.

  • The ② optional Trigger Effect activates in Substep 7 - End of the Damage Step.

    • This effect targets an X/XX-Saber monster in your Graveyard; it is negated by “Necrovalley” [REF].

    • This effects activates & resolves even if “XX-Saber Fulhelmknight” leaves the field [REF1, REF2].

      • Example: “Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter” is destroyed by battle, its Flip Effect destroys Fulhelmknight during Substep 6 - Resolve Effects, and Fulhelmknight’s effect activates in Substep 7 - End of the Damage Step) [REF1, REF2].
