Card Rulings

  • Effects of cards like “Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon”, “Goyo Guardian”, and “Treeborn Frog” are not negated by this card’s ③ effect, as they don’t target.

  • “Question”, “Fiber Jar”, “Penguin Knight”, and “Agido” are negated by this card’s ③ effect, even though they don’t target (yes, this is weird).

① Negate the effects of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters that target a card(s) in either player’s Graveyard. ② Cards in either player’s Graveyard cannot be removed from play. ③ All “Gravekeeper’s” monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF.

Card Rulings

  • The ① Continuous-like Effect NEGATES:

    • cards / effects that targets a card(s) in the Graveyard (ex: “Debris Dragon”, “Salvage”).

  • The ① Continuous-like Effect DOES NOT NEGATE:

    • cards / effects that don’t target cards in the Graveyard (ex: “Rekindling”, “Drill Warrior”) [REF].

    • cards whose effects move themselves from the Graveyard [REF] (ex: “Treeborn Frog”, “Magical Blast”).

  • The ② Continuous-like Effect does not activate.

    • Cards / Effects that remove from play cards in the Graveyard for cost / effect cannot activate.

  • The ③ Continuous-llike Effect does not activate.

    • This effect only applies to “Gravekeeper’s” monsters that are face-up on the field.

    • If “Magical Hats” Special Summons “Gravekeeper’s Servant”, it gains 500 ATK & DEF.

  • Cards in the Graveyard can have their Type / Attribute changed by card effects that do not target.

  • (*) Konami policy regarding card legality and cards with erratas (section IX. subsection G. of the policy document) state that “you are required to play all copies of your cards according to the most recent text”. Therefore, the language used and the consequences of this erratum are essential to authentic Edison Format play.
