① At the start of your Main Phase 1: Until your next turn, Spell/Trap Cards/Effects can’t be Set on the field nor activated.

Card Rulings¶

• While this effect is applying, effects of already face-up Spells/Traps also can’t be activated. (However, continuous Spell/Trap effects will still apply).

• This means that if this effect is applying, the effect of Royal Oppression can’t be activated.

• This also means that effects like that of Armory arm can’t be activated, as it is being treated as a Spell Card.

Card Text¶

This card can only be activated at the start of Main Phase 1. Until your next turn, you and your opponent cannot play or Set and Spell or Trap Cards.

Card Rulings¶

• While this effect applies [REF], players CANNOT:

  • Set Spell / Trap / Monster (ex: “Toy Magician”) cards in the Spell / Trap Card Zone;

  • activate (play face-up) Spell / Trap Cards;

  • activate the effect of a Normal Spell sent to the Graveyard by “Destiny Hero Diamond Dude” [REF];

  • activate Ignition-like Effects (ex: “Blaze Accelerator”, “Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen”);

  • activate Trigger-like Effects (ex: “Black Garden”, “Geartown”, “Dark Coffin”);

  • nor activate Quick-like Effects (ex: “Royal Oppression”, “Skull Lair”, “Skill Successor”).

• Continuous-like Effects are unaffected and will still apply (ex: “Zombie World”, “Rivalry of Warlords”).
